Overview

About Canadian Oats

Canadian oats are internationally recognized for their cleanliness, consistency, and nutritional profile. Grown across Canada’s Prairie provinces under cool growing conditions, Canadian oats deliver uniform kernels, excellent color, and reliable processing performance.

Our oat portfolio supports food manufacturers, animal feed producers, and premium pet food brands seeking dependable Canadian supply for rolled oats, groats, flour, and whole oat applications. Canada’s strict grading standards and traceable supply chain ensure predictable quality and long-term reliability for export markets across Asia.

World’s largest exporter Canada is the most consistent and scalable supplier of high-quality oats, classified under official Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) grades.

Standard Milling Grade — most popular

No. 2 Canada Oats

No. 2 Canada Oats meet CGC standards but allow slightly broader tolerances compared to No. 1. Test weight and quality remain commercially suitable for milling, though limits on certain grading factors are modestly relaxed. Commercial characteristics: good test weight; sound kernels with slightly wider tolerance for minor defects; controlled foreign material.

For processors seeking dependable milling performance with optimized procurement cost, this grade is frequently utilized.

  • Commercial rolled oats
  • Blended milling programs
  • Cost-sensitive food manufacturing
  • Ingredient applications
  • Selected feed rations

Livestock, Animal Feed & Pet Food

Canada Feed Oats

Feed Oats are classified when grain does not meet No. 2 specifications but remains sound and safe for feed use under Canadian standards. Commercial characteristics: may have lower test weight; broader tolerance for grading factors; still subject to safety and inspection controls.

Canadian feed oats are valued for energy density, palatability, and functional fibre contribution. In equine and companion animal markets, oats remain a trusted ingredient due to digestibility and nutritional balance.

  • Equine feed
  • Dairy and cattle rations
  • Poultry and swine feed
  • Pet food formulations
  • Specialty livestock programs
